Newton’s Laws of Motion
Sir Isaac Newton Born Jan. 4, 1643 in England. As a young student, Newton didn’t do well in school. He worked hard and continued his education. Later in life, Newton contributed ideas that became law in the worlds of science and math.
Newton’s Law of Inertia “An object at rest tends to stay at rest and an object in motion tends to stay in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon an outside force.”
Newton’s Law of Force and Acceleration Acceleration = change in speed or direction to make the change
For example… The greater the mass an object has, the smaller will be the rate of change in the speed or direction of motion. Thus, we say that the more massive object has more “inertia.”
Newton’s Law of Action and Reaction "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction." Reaction Action
