All about me Hi my name is Lulu it means rabbit or bunny. I am part of the Seneca tribe. My family and I live in the eastern woodlands region.

Journal entry 1 It was cold outside there was a blizzard our houses did not keep out all of the cold. They were made of wooden frames but only covered with elm bark. My mom was worried blizzards can last for days.

Journal entry 1 Our bean, squash, and corn crops were growing, my father had gone hunting with the other men. I hope he will be back soon with some deer elk, or even fish so we can have some soup or stew with fresh meat.

Journal entry 1 I am getting ready to go outside with my mother. Since it is not too cold she wears a tunic. My father wears a breechcloth and leggings and the traditional headdress with an eagle feather on top. If we are in a war my father changes his hairstyle to a Mohawk.

Journal entry 1 The main Onondaga village serves as the capital, or meeting place, of the council. Voting in the council is conducted by tribe, and a unanimous decision is necessary to wage war.

Journal entry 2 We have a lot of common plants but I will only say a few which are red Baneberry, Maidenhair fern and White Baneberry also known as doll eyes. Maidenhair fern Red baneberry White baneberry

Journal entry 2 Thud. My fathers arrow just hit a deer and it fell. My father can hunt any of the common animals around here. Some of these animals are bears, beavers, deer, and elk.

Journal entry 2 Although he can hunt many animals there is not many for him to hunt. Sometimes there is many but some times there is none. But I do not worry. I know that we will live.

Journal entry 2 In our ecosystem we have many coniferous trees that make up one big forest (that is a home to many animal some of which we hunt). We also have stream valleys, some which are very deep.

Journal entry 3 We have hills valleys and coasts in the winter when it snows sometimes I secretly go and slide down the hills then come back and say “I must have sleepwalked”.

Journal entry 3 Brr!!! Its half raining half snowing. And its like 32 degrees when the normal year round temperature is degrees!!!it usually snows very little but rains a lot.

Journal entry 3 Since it snows a lot we must have many animal skins for blankets or coats ready before winter. We get them by saving the skins of the animals we eat. But know the animals keep getting scarcer. I am wondering if maybe people are secretly slaughtering them.

Journal entry 3 Since it is always cold we must almost at all times have a fire going inside our family's long house. also we must try to not have to go outside very much.

Reflection We are now trading with the neighboring tribe I have made friends with another girl named Olathe, she lives in the Mohegan tribe. I hope that we can live here forever and that we will never move.

Reflection I hope that some day in the future I will learn to be like my mother and maybe possibly learn to hunt. I also hope that soon I can fulfill my ambition to become one of the tribes artists

Reflection It has been really nice writing in this journal but I am running out of space I have had a really good time but now I must go and help harvest the corn I hope that one day I can look back and say this is my journal from when I was a kid and it will go on through generations and generations.

Reflection #2 I would give myself a b+ or a 90%. I would give myself this because I feel that I do not have enough information which was very scarce. The information I have was very hard to find, and most websites were not websites I trust. (like ask.com or yahoo answers).
