 Epithelial – lining, covering, and glandular (ep” i-the’ le-um; epithe = laid on, covering) Body surfaces, hollow organs, glands

 Connective – protecting, supporting, binding › Binds organs together, energy reserves for fat

 Muscle - movement › Highly specialized to contract and shorten › Movement and force application

 Nervous - control › Stimulates action potential to activate body functions

 Write a summary paragraph comparing the 4 tissue types.
