Major Changes Summary Given the nature of Club activities, the parties recognize and acknowledge the need for diligence and attention to operation of the SHFC in a careful, safe and business-like manner to protect the health and safety of its members, other LMSSC employees, visitors to the Waterton Facility and members of the public. SHFC will have a Range Safety Officer (RSO) present whenever the Range is open to club members. The RSO must be the first to arrive, no member may access the Range unless an RSO is present. Members may consult the sign inside the Wadsworth Gate, the published schedule or the SHFC RSO phone (303) XXX-XXXX for determining if an RSO is on duty, or planned. The responsibilities of a RO include coordinating range activities with the RSO, calling coordinated cease-fires when necessary and requested, calling for firing to begin or resume, and monitoring all members at the range for safe firearm practices. LMSSC shall be notified of any significant injury or safety infraction occurring on the Range facility, with full details of any such event. Range Rule violations and safety concerns MUST be recorded and processed by the RSO. Examples of violations; –No eye and/or ear protection –Advancing to 100-yard Range (or other applicable ranges) target area without calling a cease-fire from adjacent ranges –Improper egress /digress from Ranges –Failure to sign in or sign out (check in / check out) –Handling firearms while others are down-range –Failure to cleanup after your shooting is completed –Shooting tracer or incendiary ammunition Range Rule Focus
