Animal Abuse

Statistics Animal cruelty is often broken down into two main categories: active/commision and passive/omission. There are many kinds of animals abuse. Passive cruelty is typified by cases of neglect, where the crime is a lack of action rather than the action itself. Active cruelty is when someone hurts an animal on purpose. It can also be used by people to make them do things even sexually by threatening to hurt or kill the animal.

Statistics Animal abusers start as young as age 10. People age 31-40 abuse animals the most. More males abuse animals than women. Any one can abuse an animal but the biggest amount of abusers are males and people in their 30’s to 40’s.

Examples of neglect are starvation, dehydration, parasite infestations, allowing a collar to grow into an animal’s skin. There are so many ways of abuse. Even simple things like not taking your dog to get it’s shots or not brushing them can lead to death. Underfed Dog

It is very important to get involved because you are helping animals who can’t speak for themselves, who can’t care for themselves. These animals are helpless and are looking out for love, care and attention.
