This is a change to the Constitution. It is also called the Bill of Rights. It protects the rights of the people of the United States.

Amendment

A form or draft of a proposed statute presented to a legislature, but not yet enacted or passed and made law.

Bill

This is a group chosen by the President to help run the executive branch and give advice.

Cabinet

This is a city where government meets.

Capital

Someone who is an official member of a city, state, or nation is called.

Citizen

This is a settlement in which both sides give up something they want.

Compromise

A written plan for government

Constitution
