Nearby beaches and bays are great for swimming in the Adriatic Sea. The river Neretva is perfect for riding in traditional boats and observing plants and animal species. The mouth of the river Neretva is excellent for swimming. It is recognizable by its shallow waters. It is perfect for kitesurfing.

They are good for swimming and they are by 3°C warmer than the sea. They are great for sightseeing by boats. You can see mallards, frogs, egrets, aquatic turtles, coots, copperheads… Besides swimming, walking, cycling and surfing, there is also “The Festival of 7 lakes”, a music festival which takes place in the summertime.
Ploče has also got some interesting celebrations which you must visit (traditional boat marathon and small boat races) FOOD: - frogs ( fried ) - eels - coot - fish
We think that folk dance groups and beautiful hills with characteristic evergreen forests should be used as tourist attractions too. We should start with selling hand-made souvenirs. We have many natural and social reasons for tourism development and our task is to protect and improve it.
