What is the ARS? The ARS stands for the Armenian Relief Society. Founded in New York City, NY in 1910 Was known as the Armenian Red Cross
What is the purpose of the ARS? World-wide membership, channeling their energies toward supporting the social, educational, health and welfare activities of Armenian communities Help with food, medicine and clothing in times of war, epidemics or natural disasters, bringing aid to disabled, sick and needy, prisoners of war, orphans and refugees
What does the ARS do? The ARS remains active by: Summer camps Financial support for Armenian schools Scholarship programs Youth connect programs Youth exchange programs Relief efforts for Armenians around the world
