 Found oldest tools in Tanzania (East Africa)  Size of adult’s fist / 2.6 million years old  Think these tools used to process food / choppers  Then came hand ax  Then learned to attach wooden handles to stone for hunting  Hunted horses, deer, bison, mammoths
