What means innovation? Asturian Health and ICTs strategy Translational research Translation of knowledge to enterprise Innovation remains the key to our future success

What’s innovation? Asturian Health and ICTs strategy Althoug technological and scientifical innovation has improved expectancy and quality of life, health systems don’t be abble to incorporate it efficiently in current economical crisis in order to maintain services level in a context of ressources limitation.

Kinds of health innovation? Asturian Health and ICTs strategy Services or products innovation: try to create or improve a product, service o experience. E.g. new elderly people emergency units, or device to follow home monitoring people. Market innovation: open or enlarge several care facilities, e.g.: care tourism for atract people with surgery abroad. Process innovation. Try to create or improve a production process or services, e.g, electronic drug prescription. Marketing innovation. Centered on services not directly related fields, but improve public image and, as value added improve service, e.g. Health services webs, and healthly life practical advices or recommendations. Organisational innovation. Related to new structures, bussines model, integration, networks, etc, e.g.: primary care-hospital care integration, national network electronic drug prescriptions.
