Interventions areas -Children from 0 to 20 -Adults in training and employment -Elderly people to maintain independancy and quality of life -A low vision centre for rehabilitation

1 - For children  Monteclair has an agreement from the state (social affairs) to work in support of VI children and teenagers in 3 ways : - section for children with special needs (especially school) and in boarding school (6-20) – 45 children - Service for support children in mainstream (6- 20) – 45 children - service for early intervention (0-6) – 10 children

Interventions -Specialised teachers to support children in school -Social workers in boarding school -Reeducators as ADL workers, O&M instructors, Orthoptists -Psychologist -Specialised trainings on IT -Adapted documentation in Braille and large characters…

ADL – O&M

Boarding school Open from Monday to Friday, boarding school is divided in 2 buildings : - one for children from 6 to 16 - one for teenagers from 16 to 20.

2 - For Adults Support of VI Adults in mainstream for : -Adapting the workplace to maintain or to get a job

For adults… -Facilitating a vocational training -Improving the abilities to get a job -Making awareness to employers and companies

3 - For elderly people -Intervention at home or in the life place of the person -To maintain his/her life frame, autonomy and quality of life

For elderly people… -Intervention of ADL and O&M instructors to adapt the environment

4 -Low vision centre -Created in 2003 and funded by Health insurance system -For VI people above 20 -Evaluation & Rehabilitation centre (day centre)
