Chemistry 2 nd Semester

Course Objectives

General Rules When you enter the class, immediately start the bell ringer. Do not leave your seat, except to sharpen your pencil. Throw away trash at the end of class. You may talk quietly while working, using table voices. (I reserve the right to revoke this privilege if it gets to loud.) Bring textbook to class daily. We will have random graded book checks. Arguing, Fighting, Defiance will result in an immediate referral.

Grades All grades will be from Assignments not finished in class may be turned in the next day for homework. Final Average Calculations Test35% CW/HW25% Quizzes10% Labs10% Bell-ringers10% Notebook10%

Absences and Late Work If a student is absent, it is the student’s responsibility to keep track of and make arrangements for materials. A deadline will be given for when the assignment is due based on the number of days the student missed. Late work will be accepted, but after the grade for the assignment has be recorded, the highest grade that a student can receive is a 50.

Rules and Consequences Rules Do not talk while I am talking. No eating in class. No electronic devices. No Profanity. All other student handbook rules. Consequences Verbal Warning Parent Contacted Discipline Referral

Restroom Privileges To use the restroom you will have to use your restroom card. Each card has 6 passes, no card, no bathroom. Students also a two homework passes for the semester. Use these to drop a 0 or low grade.

Tardies Students are only allowed 2 tardies before you receive a discipline referral.
