Welcome Honors Chemistry Dr. Peter Smith

Communication If you need help- am available before school until after football season. See me or me to set a time Office- prep room between rooms 128 and 130

What you need for class everyday Notebook- just for Chemistry Folder- for handouts Pen or pencil to write with Basic scientific calculator- one that has an exponent function. Can get for about $5-$10

Expectations Be on time Be attentive in class Be prepared- may be pop quizzes Be respectful – of everything in class, people, materials, etc… Sorry- no eating or drinking in class…Not my rule- is school rule

Grading 75%- Quizzes and Tests 25%- Homework, Classwork, Labs Will have a midterm and final exam

The optimist sees the glass half full. The pessimist sees the glass half empty. The chemist see the glass completely full, half in the liquid state and half in the gas state. Final thoughts Your attitude determines your altitude!!!!
