Everyone Learns Differently An instructor must be able to adapt to students’ personality type and learning style.

Three Basic Learning Styles Do it Watches you complete the task. See it Performs the task while you provide help and feedback. Listens to you explain how to complete the task. Hear it

They prefer to watch a trainer perform a task, then try it on their own. “See It” Learners

They prefer to listen to a trainer describe a task, then follow the trainer’s instructions. “Hear It” Learners

They prefer to learn as they perform a task. “Do It” Learners

Training Tips For All Learning Styles Be patient. Ask questions. Break each task into small, easy-to-remember steps. Think about what you can do differently to help your student learn. Treat the student with respect, no matter how much he or she struggles.
