BY: Silvana Giovannone

The war has cost up to 8 billion thus far, and will increase about 4 trillion or more For 8.5 years alone, that’s about 3,000 dollars a second. There was a price increase in oil and food, and everyone has taken a toll from this.

Although the cost of the war has hurt us, the amount of people who have died or been wounded is a crazy amount. About 4,480 troops have been killed, and more the 32,000 have been wounded, and the treatment of the US veterans boost the cost of the war even more.

The U.S is in the process of withdrawing the troops and is anticipating to reduce the troop numbers to 50,000 82% of Iraqis strongly oppose the presence of coalition troops in their country In 2008, there were 15 times as many chronic deformities as previous year. 28% Iraqi children suffer from chronic malnutrition

May 19, 2010: 96,264 and 104,997 civilian casualties As of November 2009: estimated 2,764,111 IDPs As of January 2009: estimated 1,903,519 Iraqi refugees in Jordan and Syria
