Language Lab Orientation

When first entering the lab:   Dispose of any gum, food, or drink. These may not be brought into the lab.   Leave all belongings in the classroom or at the front of the lab. This includes purses, book bags, or any personal items not related to class.   Bring a pencil to the station and any materials requested by the teacher. You may not use pen.

At the Station:  Log onto the computer.  Click on “Soloist” icon  Log onto “Soloist” with your first initial and full last name.  Put on the headset found on the left side of your computer.  Sit quietly and wait for instructions.

While working:  Work only on the assigned work, following all teacher directions.  Stay on task at all times. Your participation may be graded! Remember--the teacher can see and hear what you are doing at all times.  Treat the equipment with the utmost care. You will be charged for any damage that you cause.

Before leaving the lab: FFFFollow teacher instructions, your work may be collected. LLLLog-off and hang the headset to the left of the computer. CCCCollect your materials, and push in your chair before leaving.
