The role of Clients 06 护理 王璐

BASIC CONCEPTS A role is defined as a set of expected behavioral standards established by the society or community to which a person belongs.

Roles represent the social aspects of self-concept. They have performance and relationship expectations.

Common psychology of clients Less independent Easily irritated More sensitive Suspicious Strengthen in self-respcet

Anxienty Loneliness Pessimistic A feeling of helplessness Expectation Hope for fortune

Five ways to be a better patient

Rule 1: Your doctor cannot do it alone. The best doctor can do very little with patients who ignore instructions.

Rule 2: Be honest. There isn’t any good reason to be anything but truthful with your doctor.

Rule 3: Don ’ t mess with nurses. If nurses don’t meet your expectations, yelling at them won’t fix the problem. Talk to them or doctors. Better not start an argument.

Rule 4: If you do ’ t trust, leave. It does not matter if everyone else says this is a good doctor, if you don’t trust him, find another one.

Trusting a doctor does not mean you should not ask questions. In fact, questioning is often the only way to build trust.

Rule 5: No news might be bad news. Never assume that doctors will call you if there is a problem.

If you don’t get your news, ask.

Thank you
