What a difference a grant makes! The VCI sector – pre CWDC funding What did we do? What has happened as a result? What needs to happen next? Where do we want to be?

What did we do? Consulted to find out the VCI training needs Submitted an application for funding to CWDC Joined forces with Early Years to build on existing support eg comprehensive directory, professional profile

What has happened as a direct result? Free training throughout the county 225 courses for the VCI sector 105 different organisations Multi agency training in districts i.e Bolsover Youth Service, Connexions and VCI sector Setting up the Passport scheme to recognise the importance that volunteers play within children's services To have an event like today to showcase and celebrate workforce developments in the sector
