Houses For Haiti Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not. - Dr. Seuss

Part of being a responsible global citizen is understanding and taking an active role in the world around us. Why are we making this proposal?

Right now more than ever the people of Haiti need our help, their world has literally crumbled around them.

What can we do? What is our idea? Our goal is to be responsible global citizens and raise money to help the families of Haiti. Students and teachers will use their creative skills to make a house. Each house will be sold for $5.00 at a community auction called Houses for Haiti. The money raised will be donated to help rebuild houses in Haiti destroyed by the earthquake.

How will we execute our plan? We will have a planning session to discuss how we will sell our houses, the space that is needed for our auction, and a time that will work to hold our auction. In art class we will create our houses. In the computer lab we will create a proposal explaining our plan.

How will we execute our plan? Two weeks prior to our event we will send out invitations to our intended guests. We would like to invite our friends and family. The day before the auction we will need to be available to set up for our auction. During the auction we will be available to discuss our inspiration for our houses with our guests.

How will we execute our plan? After our auction we will each write a thank you note to our friends and family who attended and donated to our fundraiser. In our letter we will be sure in include how much money we raised during Houses for Haiti.

Who does this impact? The purpose of our fundraiser is to raise money to help impact the people that are suffering in Haiti. This also impacts the teachers and students of Hulstrom. We are coming together to help those in need. This is an experience we will never forget.
