Given the opportunity, we would love to travel to San José, Costa Rica. Not only would it be an extremely fun trip, but it would also be very educational.
We will be traveling by plane Our budget is $3,000 We will be staying at Gran Hotel Costa Rica (for 7 nights at $85 a night : $595 of our budget) We will rent a car in order to get around ( $239 weekly : Each of us will chip in $60)
Some activities we could do that would be both fun and educational are: Visiting the Arenal Volcano National Park to learn about the Arenal Volcano ($196 of our budget) Visiting Manuel Antonio National Park ($40 of our budget) Visiting the Veragua Rainforest Research and Adventure Park ($220 of our budget) Horseback Riding ($408 of our budget) Surf Lessons ($200 of our budget) Zip-lining ($180 of our budget)
Some examples of ways we could use what we’ve learned in the classroom are: Ordering food (Which we will use $60 per person daily for) 1.“¿Me puede traer…?” 2.“¿Cuál es la especialidad de la casa?” Making reservations at the hotel. Booking the flight back home. Asking for directions.
Also, in order to practice our grammar, we could make conversations with the locals.
The fact that this trip would be very fun and educational makes it worth the time, money, and effort put into making it possible. We can all have a great time while learning and practicing our spanish with the Ticos.
