“ MAERSK EXPLORER ” KNOW YOUR RIG 1. LOCATION OF EQUIPMENT Make a guided tour to the following areas and explain and show the location of escape ways, PPE, tools etc.: Central Control Room Offices Galley and Mess Rec. Rooms Change Rooms Laundry

“ MAERSK EXPLORER ” KNOW YOUR RIG 2. WORK ALOFT PROCEDURE When working at heights the following precautions must be taken to provide a safe working environment.

“ MAERSK EXPLORER ” KNOW YOUR RIG PERSONNEL MUST HAVE SUITABLE, SAFE ACCESS TO THE WORKSITE. A SAFETY LINE AND BELT MUST BE WORN. HOWEVER, IF A SAFETY LINE WOULD LIMIT MOVEMENT, THEN AN INERTIA REEL SHOULD BE USED. ANY HAND TOOLS USED AT HEIGHTS MUST BE SECURED IN SUCH A WAY THAT IF THEY ARE DROPPED THEY CANNOT FALL AND CAUSE INJURY. THE AREA BELOW THE WORKSITE MUST BE CORDONED OFF OR HAVE A MAN ON STANDBY TO PREVENT ANY PERSONNEL FROM ENTERING THE AREA.
