EBBETS FIELD Importance- Home of the local sports teams and created several jobs Symbolism: It was a symbol of pride and togetherness in the city Fact: EBBETs Field was the home of Brooklyn Dodgers

Tenement Houses Importance: Were the home for many immigrants and people coming to the city looking for jobs. Symbolism: Represented the class difference between rich and poor Fact : the tenements were the focus of muckrakers like Jacob Riis who saw how dangerous and unsanitary they were. While the rich lived in their mansions the people actually doing the work lived in the slums
