Implementation Exception Requests  Data must be as accurate as possible  Errors in implementation should not be corrected during data entry  Implementation exception requests will be handled by a forthcoming defined policy 26

EPIMS Transactional Reports 1.At the district and school level for the overall summative or formative evaluation rating All Evaluated Administrators Principals (District level only) Non-Administrators Teachers The following data points: # of staff # evaluated % Exemplary % Proficient % Needs Improvement % Unsatisfactory % Not evaluated 2.List of educators in the evaluated job classifications that are not evaluated 27

ESE Public Reporting

Public Reporting  “Such information shall be made available in the aggregate to the public; provided, however, that any data or information that school districts, the department or both create, send or receive in connection with educator evaluation that is evaluative in nature and which may be linked to an individual educator…that may be used as part of an individual educator’s evaluation, shall be considered personnel information…and shall not be subject to disclosure…” An Act Providing for the Implementation of Education Evaluation in School Districts, Section 2 29

How will data be publicly reported?  Aggregated at the district and school levels  Will be reported in a manner that ensures individual educator confidentiality  Reported on ESE website, beginning with data for RTTT districts  Data Advisory Committee comprised of external stakeholders (e.g. superintendents, principals, union/association presidents) advising ESE on public reporting 30

Proposed Public Reporting 31  Report at district and school level:  What? # staff and # evaluated; % not evaluated % of educators at each performance level (Exemplary, Proficient, Needs Improvement, & Unsatisfactory)  Overall Summative/Formative Rating  Rating on Standards I, II, III, & IV Professional Teacher Status  Who? All evaluated Administrators  Principals (On district report only) Non-administrators  Teachers

Highlights:  Data collection opens June 1, 2013 and closes on August 16, 2013  Seven data points being collected from RTTT districts in (SR28-SR34; SR34 must be Not Applicable)  Report on minimum of 50% of educators in the district  Districts must report Not Applicable on all data elements for educators who are not required to have an ESE license for any job classifications  ESE anticipates that Year 1 implementation data will contain errors reflecting misconceptions  We are eager to learn where districts need additional support and clarification! 32
