Gustar with Infinitives An infinitive tells the meaning of the verb without naming any subject or tense. In English, the infinitive is to + action ▫To run ▫To walk There are three kinds of infinitives in Spanish: ▫those that end in ar, ▫those that end in er ▫and those that end in ir.

What is an infinitive in English? A.To + adjective B.To + action (verb) C.To + noun [Default] [MC Any] [MC All]

What is the purpose of an infinitive? A.tells the meaning of the verb without naming any subject or tense. B.Tells who is doing the action C.Tells how someone is doing the action [Default] [MC Any] [MC All]

Gustar with Infinitives infinitives can be used after a verb like gustar to say what you and others like to do. Me gusta cantar. ▫I like to sing. Me gusta bailar I like to dance. Always use gusta with infinitives. Me gusta jugar al tenis. ▫I like to play tennis.

Gustar with Infinitives ¿Te gusta correr? ▫Sí, me gusta correr. ▫No, no me gusta correr. To ask a yes or no question just add two question marks and raise your intonation. When answering a question directly, in the negative, use the double no.
