It’s all about liquid measurement Capacity It’s all about liquid measurement Day 2

What is capacity? Capacity is the amount of liquid that an object can hold. We can use metric or customary units to measure capacity. Today we will be focusing on the customary units of capacity!

Customary Units of Capacity-Ounce ounces are very small units of customary capacity. One ounce is about two tablespoons full. This is larger than one milliliter. You should be familiar with ounces already.

Customary Units of Capacity-Cup 1 cup = 8 ounces (oz) You would use cups to measure the amount of liquid in a cereal bowl.

Customary Units of Capacity-quart A quart is equal to 32 ounces. 32 ounces= 4 cups or 2 pints Remember: 8 ounces = 1 cup 2 cups = 1 pint Q
