PROJECT WORKS AS AN ALTERNATIVE FOR INTERNSHIPS Diener Francine, Vo Trung Hung, Nguonphan Pheakdey

OUTLINE Introduction What is an “alternative internship”? Process Challenge or Difficulties Discussion Conclusion 2 Home Company Host

INTRODUCTION Context: letter of EACEA 3

INTRODUCTION 4 Student mobility may include a placement (<=3 months) in the same country of the hosting HEIs partners 1 It’s preceded by a minimum period of study abroad of 6 months 2 It’s recognised as an integral part of the students’ programme 3 The placement should be agreed by all partners concerned 4

INTRODUCTION Context: – available MOs for courses (Learning Agreemnt) – available MOs for research in lab (research projects proposed by professors) But not available MOs for internship in enterprise not MOs intergrated research and internship – Should pay the tax if the internship in a company more than 6 months (European rule) 5

ALTERNATIVE INTERNSHIPALTERNATIVE INTERNSHIP An “internship” included a period at the university and other one at the company The possibility to do research for a company instead of attanding only lecture 6 University Company
