 Phoenix is ranked the 32 nd state in overall environmental management and waste management.  Their water supply and air quality are ranked as some of the worst in the country.  Residential Solid Waste Disposed at City Landfills: 1,050,000 Tons

Waste Management : 32nd

 The city re-uses over 90% of their wastewater.  The Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Project is returning a five-mile stretch of the Salt River after being used as a dump site.

 Provide more recycling bins and pick-up services for the public.  At home, re-use as many items as possible before throwing them away.  Use reusable bags when you grocery shop.
