Current Sensor Application Notes Mark Shelton/Mikael Hammar

Calibration procedure allows for a set point unique for each fan or pump

Will not detect mechanical failures such as belt loss

Current Switch Applications Note: each turn adds the current value of one turn to the total sensed current In the pictured example the conductor passes through the sensor 4 times. The conductor caries a current of 0.5A. Therefore the effective sensed amperage is 2.0A (4x0.5A)

Current Switch Applications

Current Transducer Applications Note: Calculations are different depending on output type. Types available 0-5VDC, 0-10VDC or 4-20mA. Calculations are also dependent on the selected amperage range (most models offer switch selectable ranges).

Current Transducer Applications Note: Calculations are different depending on output type. Types available 0-5VDC, 0-10VDC or 4-20mA. Calculations are also dependent on the selected amperage range (most models offer switch selectable ranges) and the primary amperage rating of the 5A CT.
