Science Exit Projects Benefits of Blogging in the Classroom iLearn Science Session 8.4

Focusing Questions What is a blog? How can I use a blog as a tool to share information with my students. How will my students use the blog in their 8th Grade exit projects?

Instruction

Framing Our Work Session 1 we examined different exit projects. Session 2 we focused on guiding students to select a topic that is of interest to them. Session 3 we looked at PageKeeper to create a science library of online resources Now we are going to take a look at blogs. >We are going look at existing blogs and learn how to post. >Learn how to create our own blog. In the next session we will learn how to manage our blogs as our students begin to use them.

Guided Practice Now that we have accounts with Edublogs, we can begin adding a simple post. In our next session we are going to learn how to manage the posts to our blogs so it is important to establish a blog in this session
