PC types – As long as the input can be provided digitally OD can store it – Line Data, AFP, PDF, JPG, TIFF, Word, Excel, etc. – For AFP and PDF resources are stored separately, one time only – but as a sorted group (as output from ACIF and ISIS Papyrus) not individually … – Line Data, AFP and PDF can be stored as “Large Object” allowing storage of large documents in groups of pages

Fulfilling Customer Needs ● Integration with DFSMS/TSM automatic object management – OD uses DFSMSoam or TSM on z/OS – OD uses TSM on all other platforms

Fulfilling Customer Needs ● Retention Management – OD has a built-in retention manager – OD can integrate with IBM FileNet Retention Manager

Fulfilling Customer Needs ● Integration with customers' LOB applications – OD is delivered with a full set of Java API functions – = ODWEK (OnDemand Web Enablement Kit) – ODWEK includes 2 test browser based clients – (CGI and Servlet) – code stabilized since OD V8.4.0 – OD on z/OS is also delivered with a COBOL Structured API: – has only a subset of the functions delivered with the Java API – works in Batch, CICS, IMS and TSO

Fulfilling Customer Needs ● Integrates with RACF and other similar on z/OS ● Integrates with LDAP on all other platforms – Logon security – Folder and Application Group security – Document level security – Possible to integrate with customer's one-of-a-kind security system thru exits and sample code delivered with OD
