Where is my biome found?  (All over the world!)  Oceans have always been an important and reliable source of food.  Considering the ocean’s vast size in comparison to land, it is easy to assume that we could never deplete it’s resource's

Ocean Fun Facts  Oceans cover 75% of the earth’s surface.  Because ocean water is salty, most animals and plants living on land cannot drink it.  Ocean fishing accounts for 80% of the world’s catch.  The other 20% comes from inland fishing 5% and aquiculture 15%.

Ocean Animals Hagfish  They are best known for attacking dead or dying fish or fish trapped in nets  They use the tooth like plates on their tongue and the single tooth in the mouth to eat away flesh and intestines and leave skin and bones

Ocean Animals Hawksbill  The hawksbill’s beautiful carapace provides the best tortoise shell  It is reason for the endangered status of the species.  Because of the Hawksbills narrow head it can easily find food in rocky surfaces and reefs on the ocean floor

Summary  It covers 75% of the earth surface.  Ocean water is salty.  There’s all different kinds of animals.
