WIKILEAKS Wikileaks was founded on 4 th October 2006 by Australian internet activist Julian Assange. Within the first year or its launch Wikileaks claimed over 1.2 million documents. Wikileaks relies heavily upon volunteers ranging mathematicians, network engineers and journalists.
