GODS AND GODESSES APHRODITE APOLLO ATHENA ZEUS

APHRODITE Aphrodite is the goddess of love, desire and beauty.

ARES Ares was the Greek god of war, and according to mythology, war, battles, and bloodshed were his major preoccupations.

APOLLO Apollo is the son of Zeus. His twin sister is Artemis. He is the god of music, playing a golden lyre. The Archer, far shooting with a silver bow. The god of healing who taught man medicine. The god of light. The god of truth, who can not speak a lie.

ATHENA Athena is the Greek goddess of reason, intelligent activity, arts and literature. Athena is the daughter of Zeus.

ZEUS Zeus(zoose or zyoose; Roman name Jupiter) was the supreme god of the Olympians.

MYTHOLOGICAL CREATURES CYCLOPS CENTAUR GORGONS PEGASUS CEREBRUS

The Cyclopes were gigantic one eyed monsters. The most famous is Polyphemus, the Cyclops blinded by Odysseus. CYCLOPS

CENTAUR The Centaur's are half man, and half horse. They have the body of a horse but, in place of the horse's head the have the torso, head and arms of a man.

GORGONS LIKE MEDUSA These are female monsters with snakes for hair. Their faces are so ugly that any man that see the face will turn to stone.

PEGASUS Pegasus was a winged horse and good flyer.

CEREBRUS Cerberus is the three headed dog with a dragon tail which guards the entrance to the underworld. Allowing the dead to enter but, never leave.

HERCULES Hercules, is a Greek hero, who becomes a god after his death. He aids the gods in their battle with the titans, but Hera, jealous of Zeus' unfaithfulness, conspires to make Hercules the slave of Eurystheus.
