Creativity Distinguish between Creativity and Composition  Creativity is best thought of as a trait and practice that applies to many specific domains and activities.  Composition is a specific domain or practice for which creativity is useful. Creativity can be learned.  “Inherent Genius” model is simply not useful.

Creative Process Far from being mystical, most researchers have identified a consistent method to the creative process: 1.Preparation 2.Incubation 3.Illumination 4.Verification or revision Most creative people stress the amount of actual work that goes into creativity, rather than the “a-ha” moment. (“Chance favors the prepared mind.”)

Diversity and Experience “Creativity is multidimensional and experiential.” — Richard Florida Diverse experiences and perspectives Creative people usually have a broad array of interests. Rather than looking at different forms of creativity as independent (entrepreneurship, invention, art), creative people working in different domains share a common thought process.

What is Computer Music/Electronic Music? Technically, anything reproduced through computer or electronic means.  CD, iPod, radio Usually refers to music originally produced through computer or electronic means. Still, this is a very broad umbrella.
