In addition to the mainland, Scotland includes over 790 islands including the Northern Isles and the Hebrides

Scottish music is a significant aspect of the national culture, with both traditional and modern influences. A famous traditional Scottish instrument is the Great Highland Bagpipe

The thistle, Scotland's Floral emblem. Golf is the Scottish natural sport and it seems to have originated in this country.

Of course everyone knows about the Loch Ness, Monster. "Nessie" is said to be about six meters long, with a long, thin neck. Thousands of people claimed to they had seen the monster. Scientists have investigated the Loch and taken pictures but no scientific explanation of the mystery has been given.
