“Open My Eyes That I May See” Zechariah 4:1-10 October 4, 2009

I. Prayer is powerful to overcome obstacles (4-7). It is not by human strength. – It is not by our might but by HIS might. – It is not by our power but by HIS power.

I. Prayer is powerful to overcome obstacles (4-7). It is only by the power of the Holy Spirit. – Not by any strategy on our part. – Not dependent upon our resources.

II. Prayer is powerful to accomplish big things (8-10). It gives us the ability to complete what we have started. – He will carry to completion what He has begun in us. Philippians 1:6, “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Matthew 17:20, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move.
