Luke 6:12 12 “In these days he went out to the mountain to pray, and all night he continued in prayer to God.” A TIME OF GREAT OPPOSITION (11 “But they were filled with fury and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.”) In the midst of this - Jesus’ call brings the disciples into the heart of the confrontation The nature of God’s call is personal - Jesus initiates it and I respond.

“My prayer is not for them alone “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message” John 17:20 “Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.” Hebrews 7:25

Luke 6:13 “And when day came, he called his disciples and chose from them twelve, whom he named apostles.”

 ”Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruits” Mathew 21:43 “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession.” I Peter 2:9
