Social survey: June 2005 “Monitoring of electorate’s political activity in the pre- elections stage in Azerbaijan”

Main parameters of the social survey  Main parameters of the social survey  Date of start of social survey: April, 2005  Conducting of social survey at the territory of the Republic: 1-10 June, 2005  Number of respondents, participated at the social survey:  Number of questionnaires (interviews) used for social survey: 1491  Selection method: random selection on the districts (on the parameters of «ethnic origin», «gender», and «age»)  Method of carrying out of the social survey: interview (at the place of residence, «face-to- face»)  Mean statistical error: 2,9%  The main purpose of the social survey:  Study of the situation, related to the election process on the eve of the parliamentary elections to Milli Majlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2005 and elaboration of maps reflecting the political activity of voters.  The following main points were especially taken into account in the process of interviewing: social-economic status of voters; attitude of voters to the activity of current parliament and MPs; attitude to political processes; Election process.  The present information reflects the initial statistical parameters of the social survey. Our study continues with the support of more comprehensive statistical data, mathematical models and analytical methods.
