Parent Portal The parent portal contains information regarding the MDCPS and your child. Most importantly this is where you find the gradebook! Access to the parent portal requires you to set up an account. You need the PIV number which you can obtain by going to the main office with a photo ID and requesting it. You also need your child’s student ID number which can be found on their report card.

Parent Portal 1. Type 2. Click on Parents

Gradebook Click on the grades to see the assignment information To see any missing assignments click on the arrow to “missing assignments” and then click get report

Grades/Gradebook Grades are entered into the gradebook about once a week. Grades are shared with the students once the papers are graded.

Grades/ Gradebook con’t Please check your child’s grades through the parent portal. We will only send home a mid-term progress report and failure notices when necessary. If you child is absent it is THEIR responsibility to get the make up work. Missing assignments can be seen on the gradebook in the parent portal. We will not be reminding students of their missing work. Missing assignments appear as a Z in the gradebook and count as a F.

Grading Scale The grading scale is set by MDCPS and can be found in the parent handbook. It is as follows: A=100%-90% B=89%-80% C=79%-70% D=69%-60% F=59% and below.99 and below
