1. What is Lou Gehrig disease? It is a progressive disease that effects nerve cells in the brain And the spinal cord. ("ALS Disease Symptoms”) It is a failure of nerve cells Hard for you to tell your brain to move cretin parts of your body If effected with the disease you are most likely going to die There is no cure for the disease ("ALS Symptoms”)

2. How did Lou Gehrig handle the illness with the affects that it dose to your body? What Lou Gehrig did was he kept playing baseball for another to years till he couldn’t play. ( "ALS Prevention”) Another thing was that he started to preach a lot about his illness another thing is that he just kept pushing him self till he could not move any more or when it started to hurt ( "Lou Gehrig’s”)

3. What parts of his body were most affected? What parts of Lou body were effected were his arms and legs as he got older with his disease ("Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis”) Another thing is that when he was playing it was hard for him to swing the bat and for him to run around the bases Also with lou having this his brain was slowly dying out to because he couldn’t tell his body to move. Lou Gehrig is considered an American hero because he was the first man to play baseball with ALS ("Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis”) Another reason why he is considered a hero is because Lou started of vary little and has achieved a lot even while suffering with ALS Also while Lou was diagnosed with ALS he kept playing and before his ending of his career he was put in the baseball hall of fame ("Diagnosis & Treatment”)
