Caring to Learn, Learning to Care Paws Program Bully Prevention Program (weekly classroom meetings) Plinko Points

1- We will not bully others. 2- We will help students who are bullied. 3- We will include students who are left out. 4- If we know that someone is being bullied, we will tell an adult at school and an adult at home. IES Bully Prevention Rules

In regard to Rule #4, if your child reports bullying behavior to you, please notify one of the following people at IES: Teacher Counselor Principal IES Bully Prev. Program Cont.

Please also try to help your child know the difference between bullying and peer conflict. We are reminding the students to not “label” others as “bullies” since it is their BEHAVIOR which was inappropriate and can be adjusted/learned from. IES Bully Prev. Program Cont.

To help make the distinction between bullying and conflict, know that we are teaching students: –Bullying is when someone repeatedly and on purpose says or does mean or hurtful things to another person who has a hard time defending himself or herself. Bullying can be direct or indirect. Direct includes hitting, teasing, name calling, etc. Indirect is rumors, exclusion, and cyber-bullying. IES Bully Prev. Program Cont.
