Bubbles, Clouds, and Wind

Bubbles help us see the wind - and so do clouds! Watch the clouds and bubbles move to see where the wind is blowing –Do they move in the same direction? Do clouds change shape as they move? Do clouds disappear? Can you find a cloud that forms in clear air?

How to use the mirror and markers to watch clouds Place the mirror flat and look down on it until you see clouds of interest Keep your head still as you draw the outline of the clouds –Outline any non-moving objects (trees, buildings) Wait roughly 10 seconds and draw the clouds again –Track how clouds move and change shape
