Welcome to Sawahreh Girls School

We are Palestinian students.we live in Sawahreh village to the south of Jerusalem. My school and village are located in jabal al Mukaber and this is why it is called Jabal al Mukabber girls school because of the importance given to this mountain Jabal.

There are girls only in our school.Our school is a primary school from grade one to six. It is a one floor building school containing ten classrooms for elementary fourth to sixth and other two rented building in the near by neighborhood one for the first and second graders and another building for the third graders.

The number of the students in our school is increasing every year There are more than 700 girls in our school.

The main language in our school is the mother tongue, the Arabic language. We learn two foreign languages English and Hebrew, In addition to the major subjects we learn Maths, Science, religion.Not caring less we also practice computer, music arts and sports. Student in Music lessonsComputer Lab

The walls of our school are decorated with special materials prepared by teachers with the help of the students. Every and each school subject has a corner when it focuses on special learning areas. The Arabic corner

School starts at eight o'clock in the morning and ends at three o'clock in the afternoon. During the break at 10:35 The duration of each lesson is 45 minutes, and we rest 5 minutes between lessons.
