Libraries are acknowledged as store house of knowledge. The main contents being books and periodicals, besides CD and microfilms today. The main function of library being acquisition, procuring, dissemination and retrieval of knowledge through books and other reading materials. In KVs library services are introduced to inculcate reading habit at primary level by establishing class libraries and to promote and supplement reading at secondary and higher secondary level.Know our library is a maiden effort to know about KV Dhar library, about books, periodicals and activities of library. LIBRARY RULES 1.Welcome to the modern temple of learning. 2.All the students and staff members are members of library 3.The library will remain open during the school hours, on all working days. 4.ISSUE OF BOOKS A)FOR STUDENTS I.A book will be issued for a period of 07 days. B) FOR TEACHERS I. Text books-can be issued and retained for whole of academic year (Teaching Subject) II. Maximum 05 books (other than textbooks) can be issued for a period of 15days. 5. CLASS LIBRARIES Class Libraries are established for classes I to V (Primary). A set of books as per the strength of class is issued to the class teacher / teacher in-charge of the class-library period; they in turn circulate the books to the students for reading in the library period. ISSUE SYSTEM We are circulating documents for the students through eGranthalaya software. A student can borrow two books at a time. Faculty members are borrowing books through ledger system. A staff member can get five books (besides NCERT text books) at a time for a period of 15 days.
