Design a housestyle that can be used in a range of business documents, e.g. business letters, business reports, slide-show presentations, web pages, messages, invoices and flyers.
A housestyle is a recognisable method of presentation, such as the Nike ‘tick’ or the McDonalds Golden Arches. Your design for New Solutions for Business Limited must include their own logo, and a change to the font styles for Distinction. You could consider the colour scheme of the font when you design the logo.
New Solutions For Business I used a clipart image of jigsaw puzzle pieces to give the impression of completing the picture, then plonked the text beneath it, after trying it above and bracketing the image. I tried to echo the blue of one of the petals in the text colour to establish a house style. I used a sans serif font because it is a cleaner image that gives a more sleek effect on the viewer. Using the logo, create: A letter head using macros to guide the author to place the correct element in the correct place A report that also uses macros to help the creator produce a professional report. An invoice – including an import from Excel so that the totals are created automatically A PowerPoint presentation that incorporates your logo and chosen font details on each slide regardless of layout A website template incorporating graphics such as an advertising banner as well as defined fonts and layouts REMEMBER TO SAVE THESE AS TEMPLATES IN THEIR RESPECTIVE PROGRAMS
Direct from the Model Assignment: The quality, consistency and appropriateness of the housestyle and templates will be determining factors in the grade awarded for this Assessment Objective. In other words, use the same setup on ALL the templates that you create: you’ll be using them in the following tasks, so make them good.
