LOOP BROSWER… Click “Loop Browser” (Eye) to open loop browser Click “Track Info” (i) to open the Track info pane Click “Media Browser” to open the media browser (photos, songs, …)

TERMS THAT CAME UP Software instrument vs. real instrument –GB has computer-based instruments in the software –Real instrument means you are recording through a mic Clipping –Means the level meter went from green through yellow into red; red means clipping/distortion, bad audio Region –Any section of audio in a timeline that GB knows has a start and end point (drag-able, editable)

ADD APPLE LOOPS Select the piano track if not presently selected Hold mouse down on “Grand Piano” until it becomes highlighted; replace with “Drums01” Click on the button to show the Loop Browser which is the what button? Make the Loop Browser look like picture below left; choose Major, All Drums Click on Tempo to organize by bmp Scroll down to find all the 120 tempo drums Find “Funky Pop Drum 01” & Drag to timeline of Drums01 track at beginning of tune; below right; tap space bar to play and again to stop playback

LETS GO ON SOME MORE In Loop Browser click on Bass In search field at bottom type in Groovy Electric Bass…we want 05 Notice that these loops have blue icon with waveform…this is real audio, not software like our drum tracks which had green icon Drag Groovy Electric Bass 05 to our Bass track, drop at start of second drum region Spacebar to playback

LETS GO ON SOME MORE Repeat so that the bass track has three regions of 05

BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE New software track, call it keyboards Loops browser Fusion Electric Piano 01 Drag it first to start, then again right after first region How come we only need 2 regions to span our entire song so far and we needed 4 drum regions and 4 bass regions? Drag keyboards track header volume slider to -10db or thereabouts Playback
