Apollo 1 Sputnik Apollo 11 The Fieseler Fi 103

It was a tragedy. It was the last Earth spaceflight. There was a massive fire, and all three astronaughts died. The three astronaughts were named: Grissom, Chaffe and white. The launch was due to take place on the January 27 th it was destroyed in a big fire, and the astronaughts were worried from the start about fire hazards in the command module.

The sputnik It was launched by the Russians on the 4 th October it took the sputnik 92.2 minutes to complete a full orbit of the earth. It was the first satellite into space, designed to measure the upper atmosphere layers density. It made a grande total of 1,440 orbits of earth. It burned up on the 4 th January This is the only remaining piece of the sputnik.

Apollo 11 The Apollo 11 was the first manned spaceship to land on the moon. It consisted of Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins. It was launched on the 16 th July, but it was only on the 20 th that they landed on the moon.

The Fieseler Fi 103 (V-1 rocket) The V-1 rocket was used mainly for military uses, but the V-1 and V-2 have been favourites of amateur rocket launchers around the globe. Although not used to get out of the earths gravitational pull, at its height, it could give the same damage as a small comet crashing into the earth. It was so devastating, it could take out an entire village. To be used with caution. Invented and used from
