Group 2 Art Textiles – Cherry Blossom

Cherry blossom festival ‘hanami’, Japan

We went to look at the cherry blossom

We picked a cherry blossom and looked at it in class

We also picked a leaf from the cherry tree

We made a rubbing of the leaf with a transfer crayon

Then we ironed the rubbing onto the fabric

We printed some petal shapes onto fabric and added this to the background to make the picture We added stitches, 3D paint, fabric pastels and beads to the flowers Here are our pictures…
