Planning for College: Spring and Summer of 10 th Grade Keep your grades up. Get involved in activities outside of the classroom. Assume leadership positions. Course selection is important! Find out more about colleges: guidebooks and internet. Be open- minded in your college search. Be willing to think outside the box!

Planning for College: Spring and Summer of 10 th Grade Attend college fairs If time and finances permit, visit colleges Start thinking about the type of college you would prefer (size, setting, etc.) Military academies: start planning now! Get a summer job and begin saving money for college
