By Sanjay Chand

 What is a web server?  A web server is a program that, uses the client/server model and the World Wide Web’s HTTP.  My recommendation for computer gizmos would be; apache HTTP, apache is a trusted company, making it safe to use.

 What is a web browsers?  A web browsers is a software application for retrieving, presenting and traversing information resources on the World Wide Web.  for computer gizmos I would recommend that they use Google chrome as their browsers since it offer many simplistic features that other browsers do not, Google chrome is also a lot more reliant to use.

 A server is a running instance of an application capable of accepting request from the client and giving responses accordingly. Server can run on any computer including dedicated computers.  For computer gizmos I would recommend that they use HTTPS, if they use this their site would be more trusted and more people are likely to use it.

 A web authoring tool is a software that give the user the ability to develop a website.  My recommendation for computer Gizmos would be: the course builder by Google, as it offers many advanced options that can allow them to customize their website,

 Database system are computer software application that interact with the user, other applications, and the database itself to capture and analyse data.  I would recommend that computer Gizmos should use a database system because it would make their work a lot easier and more organised.

 TCP: transmission Control Protocol is a standard that defines how to establish and maintain a network conversion via which application programs can exchange data.  IP addresses: a unique string if numbers separated by full stops that identifies each computer using the internet protocol to communicate over a network.

 The part of a network address which identifies it as belonging to a particular domain.  I would recommend Computer Gizmos to use Google cloud DNS, Google Cloud DNS is a high-performance, resilient, global DNS server.

 There are many domain names Computer gizmos can use, they’re: .com (commercial),.org (organisation),.net (network),.gov (government),.ac (academy) etc.  I would recommend that Computer Gizmos should use.com because.coms have become the industry standard for domain names.

 When it comes to having a website you can either program is yourself or get a programmer to do the job for you however you can chose on which one you feel most comfortable with.  I would recommend Computer Gizmos to program their website themselves, as hiring a programmer would cost too much since the business it small.

 The performance of an internet connection, which is based on the number of bytes per second that data travels from the user’s device to the internet and from the internet.  I would recommend that Computer gizmos should get fibre optic cabling to get the lowest latency and the highest bandwidth possible. Virgin media is the one I would recommend they have a high internet download speed and a great deal.

 Windows = Internet explorer  Mac OS = Safari  Linux = Firefox  I would recommend that Computer gizmos make their website Compatible with all browsers especially the three default platforms.

 W3C is the world wide web consortium, it is an international community that has 24/7 service to keep the standards of the world wide web.  The mission for W3C is to lead the web to its full potential by developing relevant protocols and guidelines.

 What hardware will Computer Gizmos need? Computer(Server), Internet, external hard drive(back up) and Camera/Mobile device(Personal photos/videos).  What software will Computer Gizmos need? Web authoring tool, text document(notepad++) and Photoshop(graphic design)

 How will the website be uploaded and distributed to the public?  Publish the website through a site, Website Builder  Which payment methods should they accept and why?  The should pay through the safest way possible I would recommend through PayPal.  How could they advertise their e-commerce site ?  Paying Google to get their site advertised when people search for “Computer”.
